Don Cardwell was another one. The Friday after the Cub series, he and Koosman each pitched 1-0 shutouts of the Pirates in a twinight Double header. Gentry was clicking as well.

While I was initially more pessimistic, the current Mets have me a bit encouraged, mostly due to several starting pitchers looking good. In particular, Jacob DeGrom seems back in form.

Tonight's the finale of Big Little Lies and I am so eager and excited to find out who is murdered by whom. That's not a spoiler. They tell you in about two minutes into the first episode that someone is murdered but now, on the verge of the final episode, we still don't know anything. I have a horrible feeling that whoever does it and whomever it's done to, it's going to be brutal. This has been a great show with both great writing and acting. But it's ending just in the nick of time as later in April Veep, Better Call Saul and Fargo start up.

Rooting for Gonzaga, just because.
