Will Donald protect Obama again? Or will he provide the proof the House has demanded?

House Intel Has Called For The White House To Provide Evidence Of Wiretap By Monday

[ The President made a charge about Obama that he says is worse than Watergate. If he wasn't just lying out his ass like usual, he'd be happy to air his evidence. Refusal to do so will be PROTECTING OBAMA. But of course, everyone knows - including all the Trump supporters - that he was lying out his stupid ass again. They truly don't care. ]

It would appear the House Intelligence Committee wants to fast track the whole wiretapping kerfuffle.

House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) and ranking member Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) have asked that the White House provide them with any evidence to back up Trump’s tweeted claims by Monday.

A congressional aide confirmed to The Hill that Schiff and Nunes made the request in a letter to the White House. The letter was first reported by The Associated Press.

Trump has kept his distance from the press since last weekend, when he accused former President Barack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower before the November election.

Trump did not provide any evidence of the claim, and a spokesperson for Obama denied that he or any White House official called for the surveillance.

The White House has asked that an investigation of the alleged wiretaps be part of the probe into Russia’s interference in the presidential election.

President Trump isn’t receiving a lot of backup by either side of the political aisle on this one, as far as those who are willing to stand by him and say he was absolutely correct in his claims that former President Obama wiretapped the phones in Trump Tower. An immediate investigation, however, is a step in the right direction.
