I wish. I was feeling good until we were rear ended not once but twice in California.

between our insurance (USAA, which is downright criminal these days), Calif law and Hawaii law we have been going in circles to get treatment. We ended up having to hire an atty in California and have had to lay out cash for travel and treatment in Calif. Finally settled the first accident and were lucky to get the atty, docs and travel reimbursed. That after a drunk 21 year old hit us at 9:30 in the morning. She also had USAA and USAA told me they believed I had faked the police report which I uploaded for the initial claim. That's when we flew back to CA and hired an atty.

After my wife had surgery for her neck from the first accident, we were there for 10 days while she recuperated and got clearance to fly back home(took 1.5 years from the accident to get the surgery). The day after we got clearance, we drove to see my folks and were rear ended by a Ford F250 truck from a winery in Santa Ynez and that impact undid the surgery she had. Now the spine doc says he can't redo her neck so she is SOL. Relegated to daily pain for the rest of her life. My neck where I had the fusion was cracked and is now held together by just the titanium from the fusion. He said he could try to redo but doesn't recommend it.

Of course, our ACA(wife) and medicare with rider(me) are useless. Turns out they are apparently exempt for car wrecks. Neither Kaiser(hers) nor HMSA(me) would touch us. "That's a car wreck situation. We don't do that."
