It's been my observation that problems are best addressed by taking action.

Waiting decades for the magic "Invisible Hand" of the market place to "take care of these problems naturally" may be a valid religious experience for some, but I don't pray at that temple because I've not found it useful to running a business or solving economic problems. Any business manager who tells you their success is due to the Invisible Hand is either a charlatan or deluded.

America has problem with long-term unemployed people who would like a job and Germany does not. That speaks for itself, no matter how bitter and immune to logic you've become because you're locked into a failed ideology of the Invisible Hand..

It's not like Germany didn't have a really serious unemployment problem 27 years ago. After reunification, virtually everyone in former East Germany was effectively unemployed and most were completely unqualified for their equivilent job in a modern economy. A PhD in Marxist Economics only takes you so far, and even the majority with engineering degrees were well trained in the technologies of 40 years ago and ill acquainted with modern techniques used in West Germany.

People can easily die of unemployment or lead poisoning long before the Invisible Hand does its alleged automatic magic work of solving problems.

We can change, it's not people in America have a monopoly on making bad choices.
