That remains to be seen. You know the volume in the USD index futures is very small, in the interbank market you can not just sell the dollar, you have to sell it against the EUR, the JPY, the GBP, the AUD, the CAD etc.

here is what the index looks like. it's done a .618 retracement of it's most recent rally so the index is at support. The EUR has been acting pretty well and the political news in Europe keeps getting better in terms of the Dutch election and the look of the French election.

The EUR and the Yen account for much of what happens with the dollar. Japan is so often very counter intiutive as to what there currency, bond and equity markets are doing.... Deflation is so ingrained in the national psyche.

One thing about the EUR being as low as it's been the past 2 quarters, it is helping European and especially german manufacturers and exporters.
