Market action in the last two days makes me a little nervous. Here goes my two cents. I somehow could not help but feel a similar pattern here since history sometimes repeats itself. At the beginning of Q3, Mory painted a rosy picture. Stock price went from 47-53. The result was an 8K which brought the price down to 44. Announcement of NTT and UUNET mega contracts later felt on deaf ears. Solomon Brothers conference in late Q3. No visibility. The result was an earning warning and price went to low 20s. This time Ashby was comfortable with street estimates. Announcement by Williams 150 MM contract. Again the news fell on deaf ears. In fact stock price dropped 2 points. Again, Morgan Stanley conference in late Q4. What is visibility now ? If there is no news or stock price appreciation after the MS conference, could an earning warning or negative earning surprise follow ? We were fooled once so it would be very sad to be done the second time. Technically, the chart gapped up from 24 7/8 to 26 15/16 two days ago on open and should break out. However the immediate trend is down now and the stock may fall hard technically. AMD came out with the K6 and raised expectations on all its investors and made 7 cents instead of 22 cents followed by another quarter loss. ASND came out with GX-550 and raised expectations on all its shareholders and made ?? cents instead of 22 cents followed by ?????? That is why I am nervous. I have believed in ASND products and future that is why I am still very LONG. We will eventually recover but do not know when. The road may be bumpier than we all think. Cheers,
