I thought you were referring to an OLAP test you had done yourself. Results reported by the company in question are interesting, but hardly conclusive.

I agree Applix has "the edge" in thin-client solutions, but when I tried it it was slow as a dog. In any case, customers don't buy Service offerings because of either price or technology (see Datamation review of competing products) but the whole package (including the company's financial strength).

When I last looked, Applix's service sales were growing at the same rate as the market (150%). But that also puts them into the same realm as the big boys. THey don't have a truly competitive offering, so I believe it will run out of steam soon.

I looked again at Applix products at Internet World recently and didn't see anything to change my mind. BUt I'm open to counter-opinions :)
