Interesting...on a more fundamental basis, this may explain markets February behavior. I think shorts have been market fuel for the last year or so...particularly after the election. The 'computers' have become pretty efficient at fleecing the shorts...we'll see how it goes this week...built in buyers... -g-

As of February 15th, there was short interest totalling 220,054,513 shares, an increase of 12.0% from the January 31st total of 196,452,410 shares. Based on an average trading volume of 67,424,896 shares, the short-interest ratio is presently 3.3 days.
