lying asshole troll eRICO has his head up his ass again. Daltons law of partial pressures only applies to gases and not solutions. CO2 has a partial pressure in the gas mix of the atmosphere. CO2 forms a solution when it is dissolved in water.

Both Dalton’s and Henry’s laws describe the behavior of gases. Dalton’s law states that any gas in a mixture of gases exerts force as if it were not in a mixture. Henry’s law states that gas molecules dissolve in a liquid proportional to their partial pressure. But Henry’s laws describes that the solubility of a gas decreases with temperature.

The other factors of the ocean CO2 processes are that when it is colder there are more winds and the air is denser. So each little air bubble that is waved into the ocean cantains more CO2 to be dissolved. Every rain drop has more CO2 dissolved in it. The mixing stiring force (winds) increases as the temperature decreases.

It is also speculated that other bio nutrient are added to the oceans with higher winds and this increase bio sequesting of CO2. The sum of all effects is that the ability of the oceans to dissolve CO2 increases with lower temperatures.

Over longer periods the sum of above processes is consistent with calculated CO2 levels vs the calculated temperatures.

The temp chart you provide is only accurate at one atmosphere absolute pressure.
