ggersh.....I don't mind a more intensive discussion of using Fibonacci retracement and price extension techniques as well as using Fibonacci time elements.... If I get my act together I am going to see about posting a relatively more comprehensive series of time frames and studies of the SPX, as that is the Market that is probably of most interest to the greatest number of SI readers and contributors..... and there is always stuff to learn. Humble1 uses a very ecelectic and sophisticated set of time and price calculation and projection systems.

I have a neat little program that calculates Gann's square of 9... you use a significant price low and it provides the numbers that are going to be some of the support and resistance levels going forward. I can use the cut and paste tool to post the results for any given market...

The app it available for free at the Tradestation.com app store.

HI GZ, this is a triple A+++ group of banking sector charts and you are using a very elegant and multi faceted approach on the charts to demostrate the deterioation in the Banking sector.

Your MACD cross over in both the KRE index and XLF index and your circle that highlights that crossover
vividly illustates where those 2 index ran out of powerful upward momentum and they have been both trending water sideways since that MACD crossover that you have amplified by putting the circle around the downward cross.

What I love the most is your chart. on the USD where above it you are showing the YEN and the Gold price in the grey shade built within the chart. And you illustrate the Feb 2016 to the summer uptrend in the USD/JPY and the uptrend in Gold and then the breakdown of the uptrend-line in both the Yen and Gold in early Oct....... really fantastic. The Japanese markets, the YEN, the long end of the interest rate market (Long JGB's) have a monumental impact on so many other global markets.

speaking of your XLF chart..... your annotation of all of the components and ESPECIALLY the weighting of each stock that comprised the index is invaluable.... I did not realize that BRKS has a higher weighting than JPM...... it really should not have but that is a conversation for another time.

the banking group is not strong..... you can not post the interest rates for the various parts of the yield curve for a single day and thing that you are commenting on the change of the shape or slope of the yield curve... I may try to educate QO on that ....

Even if all true and accurate, the banking group chart pattern is not positive for now...

There could be a universe of difference between what should be and what is... also, the U.S. Dollar is apparently not doing well, looks like it's breaking down...
