I like the fundamentals on NE & MDCO, and can not believe how badly they've been slammed. I think both are good for a longer term position (at least 9 months), but you should check with Nancy about the health of the sector as a whole. I know she follows the sector closely and can offer you a valuable read on it. This should be able to help you determine if it's time to touch the oil stocks yet.

FWIW, I will buy OEX puts if the SPX breaks below 965.14 (break point - .50 buffer) and the futures drop below 976.38 (break point - .50 point buffer). Futures are there, but there's no confirm from the cash yet...
