My point in bringing up Henry's Law is that it's silly to say the world's oceans are warming disastrously AND acidifying dangerously at the same time

The oceans are increasingly becoming acidic and far far away from being saturated with CO2.

I did an experiment with the kids in physics class last year where we got some seawater from Puget Sound and put it in a glass bottle with a pressure gauge on top.

We set the gauge to zero and charged the top area with CO2 to a pressure of 10 psi.

The next morning we measured the pressure and it was close to zero.

Where did the CO2 go?

Into the seawater!

We kept the temp of the seawater the same as when it was removed from the Sound, 48F.

Then we warmed another liter of seawater from the Sound to 85F and injected CO2 to 10 psi and came back the next morning. Only about 1 psi indicated.

Where did the other 9 psi go?

I'll answer the question for you.

Into the seawater.

My kids are sharp.

Maybe they can teach you....
