The insurance company can charge 5 times instead of 3 times. How does that square with the cost going from $1500 a year to $23,000 a year?

Let's say theoretically that the insurer can charge 6 times instead of 3 times. It can double the cost under the new plan. Wouldn't then the premium also double? Go from 1500 to $3000 a year. Based on this, the Ryan plan should cost less than $3000 a year, not $23,000.

Your example doesn't make sense to me. What am I missing?

Another thing. In my state, two 60 year old people earning only $31,000 a year would qualify for Medicaid.

What is the source for this example you keep coming out with?

Are you on Obamacare yourself? Do you know personally anyone who is? For the sake of quality conversation, it would be better if we had some real life information.
