Valueman: Where in the world are you getting your figures. The second generation systems will cost no where near what the first generation systems did. First generation costs includes gateways and infrastructure. Satellite costs have been estimated at somewhere between $10 - $20 million. Therefore, total cost cannot exceed $1.5 billion, at the very most.
As for CDMA being "light years ahead of TDMA", you are dreaming my friend. Original claims may have indicated this but actual results are no where near that. Before you say too much you might want to try and put something in the sky.
