This may/could be a good value bet. Will need to dig into their holdings a bit more.

They may/could also benefit from the Trump tax proposal w/ a 15% and/or 20% max tax rate on C corps and/or S Corps. Did you calculate what their effective tax rate is?

Their partnership interests is tax deferred until they liquidate those then that would be taxed at their corporate rate. The max Trump rate would be 20% but that would be in in 2018 probably.

Do they pay a dividend or any special dividend? Did management state any plan on recognizing any long term capital gains on future real estate sales or new investments?

I do know that NY and CT have some of the highest State and City taxes so that may/could bite into future gains but they may/could do a 1031 exchange into something new.

The Trump tax proposal may eliminate 1031 exchange benefits so all of the Trump tax deal is currently speculation except for the lower Federal Tax rates.

This is interesting as I have been looking for an undervalued small cap (even OTC) stock candidate.

Have you discovered any other small bank and/or community bank candidate companies you think may be undervalued?

If you have a few names (there was a Santa Cruz community bank you liked in the past) I will go through their 10K's as I think it is now the right time in the cycle to start to deploy some funds into this sector now too.
