Next to Internet, 3D Graphics is the killer applications for Intel's PentiumII chips. The fact that TDFX chipset become the standard says a lot about the company. one key appeal for sub $1000 PC buyers is the PC game, now with sub-$800 offered by HP/Compaq, the extra $200 could into a 3D graphics card, most likely sports a TDFX chipset. Last time MF adds the AMZN at about $30, it doubled, now they start buying TDFX, let's see what will happen. Also, Check #1176, a writeup story on TDFX appeared in the Silicon Vally newspaper (SJM).
