Yes, if you live in a one-room shack with a single light bulb you could pedal your bike and power it. Our house uses little power during the night, too, aside from 10 or so LEDs that light the outdoor areas and one inside. Oh, A/C, which we set on 68 at night. And the occasional cycling of the water heater.

Whatever.
