CIO. I am not a big fan of CIO. I give it black marks for
(a) small cap
(b) management -- in 2016 converted from external advisors at huge cost / compensation. 2016 $10 million of "earn outs, advisor fees, compensation" -- on revenue of $72 million. FFO $12 million.
(c) only 18 employees. who does all the work?
(d) mgmt predicts 2017 earnings growth, but analysts do not. i wonder why.

nice div yield however.
but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and i decided i'd not spend time digging further.
i could be wrong, good luck.

I like BDN and PDM for office reits with reasonably low PE, nice growth. but lower yield than CIO. 10x the mkt cap of CIO. HIW also reasonable. Own OFC but nervous about DC office space if government gutted -- reduced holding.

City Office REIT Announces Agreements To Sell Life Science Portfolio For $576 Million

City Office REIT, Inc. (NYSE: CIO) ("City Office" or the "Company") announced today that it has entered into definitive agreements to sell all of its holdings in the Sorrento Mesa submarket of San Diego for $576 million . The transactions are expected to generate net proceeds, after estimated closing and transaction costs, of approximately $546 million , which equates to $12.38 per common share. The properties to be sold are unencumbered by debt.
I am seeing pre-market bids at $16.20/share +25%. Will peel off 30% and see it other bids develop. Not many shares As I moved 50% of the CIO into their preferred (City Office REIT, 6.625% Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock), which I expect to be called 10/21/2021.

CIO. A good holding for you, EKS. I believed it to be fairly valued when I sold a couple of years ago. Unfortunately.
