Retail stocks

I'm not saying others shouldn't invest in retail stocks and from a contrarian point of view now actually may be the best time to buy. Heck, I could be the ultimate contrarian signal.

But for me, I've probably been failure as an investor in these overall. Despite some success many years ago (stocks like Dress Barn on the Piotroski screen), I've probably net loss money on these as I have bought some seemingly cheap stocks whose fundamentals deteriorated further.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but with hedge funds getting access to things store credit card information and I'm sure many other data points including fashion trends, I'm definitely the dumb money in this space and have decided to take my ball and go play elsewhere.

RE- DLTH re-entered Duluth Holding's today. At under 18 now. I can't make a good case for value other than selling at a better price now than months ago. I do believe the company has carved out a good, still growing niche. This in a very survival of the fittest mode.
