The US has not had a leader that was good for the Country since Ronald Regan and He was only a figure head' The last real leaders were Eisenhower and Kennedy. And Kennedy was shot for having his own ideas about what was good for the country.

Jim Carter nor Bill Clinton were terrible. Carter nor Obama had the balls to stand up to any aggressor. Carter like Obama shorted military spending. By doing so it bungled Carter's military attempt to rescue US hostages from Iran held by Khomeini. Canada managed to get 8 hostages to freedom but 52 remained.
In the spring of 1980 Carter's ill planned military attempt ended in disaster. Three of eight helicopters failed. The mission had to be canceled at the staging area in Iran, Then desperate to free themselves, during the withdrawal a retreating helicopter ran into a C-130 transport plane, killing eight soldiers and injuring five.

Later Reagan, with the assistance of Algerian intermediaries, freed almost $8 billion in frozen Iranian assets, and the 52 hostages were released after 444 days. That was a mistake to. They should have just destroyed the country and it's leadership. If they did you wouldn't have today's problems.

When it comes to peace and control Might is Right

i believe you are correct that trump is not having much fun, in the sense he is not getting done what he hoped to do.

he may be wishing to switch gears, as people of his character tends to be, practical in some sense, and attention-span-challenged in another sense.

otoh he may be having a sort of fun that he is messing w/ the establishment.

it is also difficult to ascertain whether the anti-trump folks are having much fun, since they are being trump-ed every day, and expected to be trump-ed again the next day, day after night after day. otoh, the anti-trumpists may enjoy anti-trumping day after night after day.

time shall tell.

i am uncertain whether much productive acts are happening at the same pace as b.t. (before trump).
