Is Republican cave on Obamacare biggest broken promise ever? I really don't know. How to compare to "Read my lips, no new taxes" or "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor?"

It's worth remembering that Democrats getting Obamacare passed was a 13 month effort, with Obama repeatedly speaking to (uh, lying to) the American people on behalf of the program.

Also remember, Republicans have run on this for 9 years. How many voters will stay home in 2018 based on this broken promise? If it takes them another 13 months to kill it, they should do that.

Philip Klein: "Failing to get the votes on one particular bill is one thing. But failing and then walking away on seven years of promises is a pathetic abdication of duty. The Republican Party is a party without a purpose."

Remember when Republicans promised they would try to fiddle with Obamacare for a few weeks and then give up?

The only deal the Republicans should accept is a complete repeal of ObamaCare. You have them on the run - don't fold - go for it!
