Doug / Oil Price

The oil price I used in my estimates is based upon the New York Mercantile Exchange futures contracts. This is what most analysts and companies use as their benchmarks. I wrote to CAPP (Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers) early this year and presented basically the same questions as you presented. The above was their reply.

By the way, CAPP is a website worth visiting if you haven't already. They provide an excellent overview of the oil and gas industry in Canada. capp.ca
