Senate to Question Kushner Over Russia Meetings © KEVIN LAMARQUE / REUTERS Senate investigators have notified the White House Counsel’s Office of their intention to question Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, as part of their probe into ties between the Russian government and Trump associates, The New York Times reports. Citing “administration and congressional officials,” the paper reported this morning that the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating Kremlin interference in the 2016 presidential election, is seeking to question Kushner about meetings he arranged with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The Times claims the meetings include “a previously unreported sit-down with the head of Russia’s state-owned development bank,” Sergey N. Gorkov. Gorkov is the chief of Vnesheconombank, which drew sanctions from the Obama administration after Russia annexed Crimea. The Times reports White House spokeswoman Hope Hicks stating that Kushner is willing to meet with the investigators and that he “isn’t trying to hide anything.” thedailybeast.com
