I was trying to keep myself from reading my airplane travel books- which are really really good (Insane City, and Bad Monkey- can't wait to read them, but must...wait...)

So I distracted myself by trying to clean up my Kindle Queue- and I ran into White Bones. Finished it in a couple of days. First, Masterton is a bit gory- so you've been warned. He crossed over to mystery from horror, and you can tell. But the characters are good. I read some complaints by readers later in the series that character development might suffer around book 5- but I don't know about that. I bought book 2 after reading the teaser pages at the end of the first book- White Bones. It's set in Ireland, and the locations are interesting.

I have been wrestling with myself about Hotel Beau Sejour given my recent disappointment with The Kettering Incident. It looked really interesting until I read about the protagonist being a ghost. Maybe I will collect it and never watch it until I am really desperate for something to watch.

So, when is Calexit? You can join Canada as long as you leave your guns behind.

We've just started Hotel Beau Sejour ... the girl ghost who tries to figure out the mystery of her death.
It is pretty weird, but so far we're staying with it. The ghostly physics are iffy but two episodes in, we like it.
On Netflix, Flemish, subtitled.
