Dale,

I have to agree with your "lottery" description. Let's at least hope for 4 numbers if we don't get six.

The price levels now appearing for computers such as the Compaq and Packard Bell as low as $700, have to impact the component makers even more harshly.

I believe JTS is the low cost producer of the size and type of drives used by these "entry" or sub $1000 computers? I'm also encouraged by the statement of profitablity coming as to me this indicated that there are orders in or even more positively a contract with Compaq or a Dell, Gateway etc. Have heard comments that the new 6.4 gig is pretty interesting in size/price/performance maybe this is the one we need.

As much as JTS has cost me I still sympathize with all these tech mfgs, talk about running like h*ll. A blurb on tv said hard drives dropped from $5.31/meg to .10/meg in five years!!! Gotta be tough running business models under these conditions.
