Well it seems that way for right now, but you can still get a Pentium for around $1200.00, I believe the HP low cost Pc announced yesterday is Pentium based.This will all change in a few months time though as Intel plan to introduce low cost Pentium chips. So for right now AMD and Cyrix can sell more of their chips and loose more money,but it is going to be short lived.

Ps:The HP $800.00 PC is Pentium based. Here is the link to the news.
