CGB,

I find my tollerance for intollerance is getting worse. Our communities are finding ways to further identify a segregated area rather than melt the lines of division. The issues of naming or renaming schools sound logical at first "blush" but when put under the microscope it is still another form of racism. The fact someone, or in these cases groups of "someones", decide on a school name based on the color of the person being honored indicates a bias. Then to top it off..our illustrious media decides this is newsworthy...after all it could fuel the "pure" racists into reacting or if they're (the media) really lucky..possibly a riot could eventually break out. I realize I am rattling on...but this kind of stuff is so political and does nothing to improve the underlying problems of this Great Country that my patience become worn.

As for my reference about the tiny brained wipers...it's those people who are easily distracted from living life. They, in turn, take an innocuous event/item (i.e. Atlanta Braves, Manhole Cover, storms named after only one sex, etc, etc) and get everyone excited over nothing. I'm polish...I'd love it if a pro team were called the Poles.
There are so many things we could accomplish as a society...but...we keep letting ourselves be distracted and we miss golden opportunities.

My remarks were more of a "venting" at society in general (which would include myself since I am a part of it...at least for now.)

We have become sticklers for detail. We worry about the color of the walls of our new house and yet we have not even laid a foundation.

There...I think I'm done for now.

T.R.

Desiring not to stay on the distant edges, just dropped by to say, HI. Looks like you're handling yourself quite well. Keep your chin up.

Yes, I know how you feel about football, but if someone offered me a multi-million dollar contract with the possibility of blowing my knee out or something just as bad, I'd probably go for it. Seeings how I'll probably never know anyone personally who has that kind of wealth let alone make it myself, its really a moot point. Wonder what the waterboy makes a year? <g>

You know, once ya get used to "click and back" you can pretty much read this thread in a relatively short period of time.

Got LOTS of opinions about racism, but I'll save them until everyone thinks the last . . . is dead.

Hope yours is a pleasant evening and a better tomarrow.
