CNBC has never needed an excuse in the past to dump on AAPL. They had it coming.

Sowbug

I think you are very correct.....CNBC offers some of the most widely watched market coverage in the USA. So it is not a good
idea to piss them off. I wonder if Steve is this unpredictable in his
business dealings . Your right sowbug.... he should of handled
the question in a much better manner than he did. He could of
played this interview up to the benefit of all shareholder's but
did not. I should retract my previous post. Joe C

B. Francis loves INTC , bring on CNNfn and Lou Dobbs

Marc if the bearded guy was Bill Jackson how come he didn't discuss the resurgence of INTC's 8086 chip for a few hours ?

The interview was over - Jobs will take the job along with millions of options at the annual meeting - his stock only board will demand it !

Thought I heard a scuffle when that guy left - hope he flattened a few of the none AAPL share holding , INTC loving bystanders .

"<<As long as the stock does well I dont care what he does. >>

Pulling crap like that costs us money. No way is Bruce Francis going to give AAPL a positive spin in
the future, and that's going to have at least some effect on the price of the stock -- CNBC isn't small
potatoes."

That does not mean that dunderheads like Francis can play Geraldo
and attempt to embarrass CEO's like they're on some sort of crusade.
Fair and even tough questions should be asked, but breaking (an apparent)
agreement for the sake of putting someone on the spot is below reproach.
