Do you think that is important? Do you think since 49% are believers, we should call off all religion? We voted, therefore believers are idiots?

Really, highly intelligent people -- far more than you -- have taken the same idiotic position (Chris Hedges comes to mind). That, somehow, it is your job to conquer religion once and for all. And while I'm certainly not a religious person generally, I believe every person on the planet is entitled to choose it for him or herself. And neither you nor Hedges has any say in that.

You will be dead and buried long before religion is.
