Two pairs of missed free throws for NC to end the game up by a point, and both times they got the offensive board. The odds against that have to be astronomical no matter when it occurs. I can't imagine the shock and depression a Duck fan is feeling now. Oh, wait, yes I can... Last night, the UConn women had their streak of 111 in a row broken by #2 seed Mississippi St who they beat by 60 the prior year. With the game tied in OT, with the ball and 19 seconds left, all UConn need do is hold the ball for the last shot. Inexplicably, one of their players drove the lane with 12 seconds left, stumbled, and lost the ball. Miss St then hit a miraculous buzzer beater prayer. Clearly the people who write these storylines have jumped the shark. - Jeff
