The last time I checked, I only have 37 months' worth of Spam in storage.

We're OK on fresh water, though. We have a continuous supply. I owe a big debt of gratitude for the "Survival Essentials" book that was provided to all loyal FBNA investors. If it hadn't been for their advice, I would never have thought to dig a small channel from the nearby river. Our only challenge is making sure it keeps flowing during the ice storms that began shortly after the atmosphere was permanently damaged by all those Y2K disasters.

If only they had all listened to us, they could have saved the planet for future generations.

As it is, though, the government had to give American citizens a glimmer of hope. Their recent announcement of an impending trip to Mars brought cheers to all of us here in ... uh, well, you know. I don't want to mention our location for fear of people raiding our supplies.

I sure hope the Mars engineers have figured out how to get through that hole in the ozone layer.

Hang in there!

Sure is a pretty day.
