Have you lost your mind? Lincoln was a North East Republican president when he ran for office and all his strength came from the northeast liberals of the day and I think the south split the vote. The racists in the south hated him! Lincoln was a self educated man and very progressive, more than progressive he was a hard-core liberal of his day. He cannot help where he was born and he went against his racist neighbors. Like any intelligent person would have done back them-lol.
