Climate science is more of a compilation of the hard sciences. Direct testing is difficult or non existent. Tracking is really what they do and they can skew that. They were really low priority before they hit the grant money jackpot due the global warming movement.

I'm really starting to question the extent to which "hard science" even exists as a thing. We don't have any Feynmans or Einsteins. People who are true to the cause of the Scientific Method. Today it is just as it has been for decades. Publish [quickly] or perish. You can make a lifetime of study out of something so long as you can get some inkling of success early on. Even it is bogus (in re: Michael Mann).
I think you've got your green eye shade on too tight.......you have no idea of what you speak...how would you recognize a scientist?
