I purchased a civic in may of 2016 and had an interesting time with the so-called finance guy...... as soon as I sat in his office, he had me pegged for 3.9% interest on a 72 month package INCLUDING extended warranties.......He announced that in the western Suffolk county area of long island, 2/3rds of his customers lease their vehicles, while those that finance are using longer terms - 60/72/84 months to pay back. we had a 20 minute discussion about leasing and financing which ended with me telling him to reduce the term in half (36 months) and find a 1.9% rate - otherwise no go. took about an hour after that to finish and get the car.
