re: "BIG has huge short interest. 29.52% of float according to Yahoo"

29% of float? That's very large. Either a few big punters (insiders?) know something very negative that the rest of us shareholders haven't figured out or haven't seen (last quarter showed positive results), or else a lot of people know something, or believe something - and that negative something must be pretty obvious (because so many people are causing such a large proportion of shares short) -- and I must be one of the few who just doesn't see this obvious thing that will bring the stock down...... or else...Yahoo is wrong with the number.

Yahoo is wrong with its number.

TD Ameritrade has short interest at 32% as of 3/31/17.
Seems there really is this sizable short interest.
A large short interest is intimidating. OTOH, a large short interest can be squeezed.
I will look into it a little.

There has been a stampede of the buffalo away from retail. Probably overdone in my opinion.

There is also a concern about restrictions on imports from China. The clothing retailers are concerned, but I would suppose BIG would be more concerned. Lots of junk in that store made in China.
