Ian,

Here is a copy of the post re: AMAT & ADC I mentioned. It is from a K-T employee...

Well, the cat is officially out of the bag over at AMAT. We at K.T. have known for quite sometime that AMAT/ORBOT was working on such a product (see earlier postings in regard to the ADC product). In fact, it comes as no suprise that they are readying there ADC platform.

When ORBOT was its own entity, we knew they were working on an ADC package. When we first heard about this (back in April), they were reportedly about two years behind putting the thing out on the street. With the additional resources of AMAT, we see they have jumped the learning curve and are closer than expected.

But, thats ok. I believe (emphasis on believe) that this application for ADC is outside of the application that K.T. intends for ADC. AMAT evidently is positioning their ADC toward the SEM market. K.T.'s ADC is on the inspection/review side.

I would post more, but have a Xmas party to go to tonight.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! Don't tell anybody...but, I've got some rum.....and am planning to spike the eggnog. We're gonna soften up those boring "stuffed shirt" engineers tonight! If I have my way...we'll have Mr. Levy and Mr. Tompkins doing the mambo before we wrap things up!

Regards,
Ron

P.S. I'll let you know on Monday whether this whole Santa Claus thing is for real or not. Reportedly, he is going to be there tonight. I'm gonna give a tug on that beard.....and if he's a fraud, I plan on exposing him tonight. :)
