"Michael Crichton on "Why Politicized Science is Dangerous."
He should have taken his own advice by not politicizing climate science.

I'll pass the word to koan.

Crichton is an excellent author but he likes to say no one can predict the future.....then to start throw out all the Christians who are faithfully waiting for someone to return. But we know that's silly, so let me ask you this....if you get the weather report and you hear that a hurricane has formed off the coast of Cuba and that it will make landfall in about two weeks in the Carolina's, do you pay any attention to it.... Are those meteorologists not predicting the future? If your doc tells you you have Stage 4 colon cancer and that you will die no longer than 4 years from now, do you listen?

Good stuff, thanks for posting it! I had no clue Crichton was participating actively in current affairs, just signed up for his web site.

The other day you were complaining about all the News channels from Fox to CNN. Assuming you can get this your place, and I believe you can: Try 'NHK World' News - their international news channel in English. It is very good and unbiased by any means. While being Japanese, it's truly international with world news on the hour - including US weather!

True journalism the way it used to be.
