Grommit:
Pretty unequivocal letter, wouldn't you say?
If Mr. Hvide is correct, it would appear there
are indeed, a least a few terrifically UV oil
service stocks out there, especially after today.
Regards,
RMR

A great posting, very timely. I've met E.Hvide and he went though his views of the next 3-7yrs., yes this could be a terrific 7yr. investment considering the tremendous lack of investment in the infrastructure in this area. He is very direct, thoughtful and looks over the "ruts in the road". He expects to double revenue in 1998 to $400million, part by acquisition part by raising day rates. You can see his vision in the letter. I believe this is a great issue. HMAR announced today another purchase of assets, this time from Kirby. It will be accretive this year by $.10shr. Buy the stock, solid management, clear vision. World demand is keeping ahead of our ability to find inspite of brief bumps. Best regards, John

Grommit...thanks for making the letter happen here. Does this sound like a man (Hvide) who's about to announce a shortfall in earnings? Ha!

You saved me from myself, man. Determined not to go underwater on yet another issue, I stop-lossed my HMAR, but luckily it never got that low. Today I removed the stop-loss and am prepared to not only ride this out...but purchase more.

I must say, though, that prior to your posting Mr. Hvide's letter the loudest voice in my ear was that of Bill Whats-his-name, chief economist (the old guy) on CNBC, who said over the weekend that he sees a 12 dollar barrel of oil as quite possible this year. That horror I was not prepared to ride out...but now...I view it as a potential buying opportunity, should it happen
