What is so innovative about MSFT's software? What have they invented that didn't already exist? Even if we assume that MSFT's browser is better than NSCP's it does not mean that MSFT is more innovative. Innovative != Better, Innovative == New Inventions.

>>>This is an odd statement since MSFT's software is more innovative than NSCP's.<<<

Perhaps you meant "is almost a copy of Netscape"? Or perhaps you are confusing inventions with the people who made them. Or perhaps...
Hard to say, really.

Reg please refesh my memory when did MS knock off Netscape browser and have the nerve to call it IE was it 1 or 1.5 years after Netscapes original browser? You have the nerve to call MS innovative. I call them the best knock off artists of the century.

I have another question for you. Why didn't MS just buy out Netscape instead of developing the knocked off product?
Could it be that MS thought the DOJ would raise the issue of anti-trust so they decided to develop their own.
Knowing that the DOJ is very slow this gave them plenty of time to give it away and use it OS liscensing to influence vendors to promote it. MS was hoping Netscape would be finished by the time the DOJ stepped in.
Well guess what Netscape is still alive but limping and the DOJ is on MS's case.

Sooner or later the big bad bully MS will get its BUTT kicked and it sure looks like the DOJ will be the one, if not then Sun will be waiting on the side lines for a shot at them.

By the way is WebTV MS next innovative idea? Why did they buy them if they like the fat client concept? This sure looks like a NC to me.
