The intervention: Bannon off NSC, grownups back on, pro-Assad policy reversed, Nunes off investigative committee. Clearly things h/b happening behind the scenes. : Bannon's and Flynn's stooges (Cohen-Watnick and Ellis) were turning the NSC into a sieve of leaks intended to confuse the public, divert attention from Trump-Russia and cast innuendo on others, the grownups intervened and had the NSC put back in adult hands. They forced Trump to reverse his pro-Assad policy too. Defense intelligence people think the recent chemical attack was Assad testing how far he could go. Still, sitting there talking to the press surrounded by a half dozen aides, the grownups couldn't stop him from babbling a defense of Bill O'Reilly. $13M in settlements, 47 advertisers lost and the Clown President sits there and says "I don't think he did anything wrong." Of course, not ... he thinks when you're a star, you can do anything, grab them by the p**** whatever.. The Clown President also charged Susan Rice with unspecified crimes but refused to declassify any intel that would support that opinion. The demented Trump cultists out there get excited over each lie Trumpov tells. They think Rice will be charged soon but Sessions will never charge her with anything. Sessions is constrained by the need to offer evidence. Trumpov can just make stuff up and his cult will run with it. They believed the story about a child molestation ring working out of a pizza parlor, delivering kids to senior Democrats to molest. Those poor aides and Hope Hicks (Can we talk about infrastructure?) standing around while he embarrasses them. They are constrained by the fact that they're only in their positions because Trump was talked into appointing them. There is only one person in the administration Trump can't fire. Pence. The guy who got Flynn fired. The guy who isn't thinskinned, isn't obsessed with celebrity, who has never tweeted about anyone's TV ratings or Ivanka's product sales. Pence, a grownup who goes to intel briefings instead of watching "the shows." As midterms approach, if Trump doesn't get himself under control, Republicans will start thinking of ways to get the Clown President out of there so a focused serious adult can take over.
