Sarin is not too difficult to produce at home, so to say. The Japanese subway killers some years ago used home made sarin. Those medical helpers had no problem moving around while helping the poisoned kids and others, so the air was not contaminated. That most likely indicates, that the poison never hit from the air but rather had it's roots from a liquid source not a direct part of the explosives.
