That PC98 configuration is a humdinger.
So How much this thing gona cost.
That puppy today, probably run ya, close to five grand, and I don't know where to get a 27 inch monitor.

DELL sellin them things yet ?
Who's i-dear was it anyway ?

Is businesses gona deploy emm ?
I just read that one of the big banks just spent $600,000 to find out how many and whut kinda PC's theys got.
They just want make sure they don't go broke on jan 1,2000. Now once they get that thing fixed, you think theys gona spent big buck to replace the old crapy ones, or do ya think they gona spend as little as posible ? Remember that by year 2000, all these loans to KOREA will be eatin into their profets.

Seriously, This PC-98 sounds like a replacement for my entire $3,000 home entertainment system, Pluss a replacement for my $2,400 home PC.
I don't want this much in my home office. (Yet:)
Just because you build it does not mean that you can sell it.

Jim

re PC '98. WOW!!!

To the extent that the sub-zero PCs are drawing in the consumer who previously had no PC, and exposing those consumers to first-hand experience of what can be, IMO they are going to create a stong market for these machines.

Thanx for your usual excellent post.
