Being a person who came from poverty to a very comfortable lifestyle by having the initiative to take opportunities life presents to everyone. Starting a business at 19 rather than be a lunch box for someone else to exploit. And yes I went broke 3 times before getting things to work out. Never ever declared bankruptcy. Kept a record of unpaid debts. And when it finally came together. We paid those who had trusted us.
The company we ended up with was in heavy equipment, working in Forestry, Mining, Road building, or any other resource industry. We even constructed new rail lines in an industrial park. Starting with one used piece of equipment and ending up with a yard full of excavators, D8 cats, Low bed trucks which were convertible to Log haulers needed to move wood fiber to market from road rite of ways .
And an old Robinson 22 chopper used for quick parts delivery to job sites.

So I have little respect for those who claim there is no opportunity, Join a left wing progressive Socialist organization squealing that the world is so unfair and think they have a right to what someone else has by working rather than play sports or go to the lake or bar on weekends.

If a person has no ambition to create a better life for themselves. It is not the responsibility of some one else to look after their well being. Especially by means of a government preying on those who dedicated themselves. Even as a person simply working for a wage. If they put just 5% of every paycheck into investments. They will be well off at retirement and able to take care of them selves even without a pension.

I am totally free enterprise. With the least government interference as possible. Free markets create wealth for all.
