Correlation is not NECESSARILY causation, but it often indicates causation.You can also apply other statistics and get 99% probability e.g. an analysis of variance.

Those "other statistics" are merely confirming the correlation. And what correlation gives you is a basis for hypothesis wrt causation, which then must be tested.

OR, you can just look around and use common sense-lol.

Taking your hypothesis and "looking around" is an exercise in confirmation bias, not a test of the hypothesis. Science requires us to actively and diligently try to disprove our hypothesis, not knee-jerk validate our ignorance.

You don't think education helps people and societies be less misogynistic, more democratic and embrace civil rights?

Can you not see that modern ideas of democracy, civil rights and gender equality is based on humans advancing education?
