Such things haven't fallen within the context of my life experience, but I can reasonably guess that a "border wall" will increase the price and also the profit for human smugglers. I would not be surprised if many of Trump's mob associates would benefit from larger profits smuggling people into America. Illegal workers are the slaves around the world. Some like Putin and the Saud family directly import slaves from North Korea earning Kim hard currency in return for cut-rate engineers and other workers. Trump himself built Trump Tower with Polish steelworkers he brought in illegally using Tourist Visas - and quite cheaply because Trump ended up not paying most of what he had agreed to pay them, and being in the US without the legal right to work left them without right and gave Trump the power to cheat them. It worked so well for him that he set up a modeling agency which took advantage of models from Eastern Europe in the same way.
