Rosemary, I agree. I thought there would be some selling of treasuries also since many reported that Japanese banks were significantly squeezed once the Nikkei got below 15k. Put money on it too. Needless to say, that turned out badly.

As to OPEC, I've never been able to count on them. I was really attached to HAL too. It will turn around as soon as the next Middle East flare up occurs which shouldn't take too long. How many do we have now on a yearly basis? Two or three? Also, demand is down because of El Nino caused warmer than normal winter, (according to pundits), but once some cold weather sets in, they'll be changing their words. If it isn't El Nino, it must be SE Asia?
