mannie, fighting in hockey has increased over the years.
teams make sure they have their goons - enforcers
if you wish.

it's what the fans want. you'll notice the refs just stand by

and let 'em at 'er. if they break it up to soon, fans get
upset. seems like they want to see blood and the NHL
will give them want they want.

sadly, you could say the game reflects society in general. :(

i'm with you - i'll watch olympic games or world championship
games where fighting is not allowed and players are there
for their hockey skills. i wonder how altie would answer your
question.
