I read somewhere that Japanese had been buying Yahoo!Japan at incredibly high prices; and the sentiment was (I do not know if it still is) high because Yahoo!USA had been rising and rising. I wouldn't be surprised if Asian money is flowing to Yahoo! stock, when it is flowing all US stocks and bonds. When Yahoo!USA was rising, it was feeding to a rise in Yahoo!Japan, which was feeding back to Yahoo!USA and so on. On the top of that feedback, there is potential manipulation, squeeze, and what not! But, once such a cycle breaks and pauses, it can begin to unwind as fast. Just watch out for yen/dollar to appreciate -- that will be the beginning of the end of the bubble stock saga. The BOJ/MOF guys are meeting with Fed/Treasury officials this week on exchange rates -- let's see what comes out.
