In the future I would look for qcom's phones to take on more and more features and may even become what gates terms a wallet pc.

If this is the case, then features may include phone communication, internet browsing, fax capability, print capability, etc. It may even play music, view television programs, be a radio - who knows. All of this may be placed into some specialized ASIC's or firmware, but nevertheless, it is an operating system. Obviously an integrated approach would probably make the product more user friendly for the end user but on the other hand maybe some would see this as a monopoly. Maybe there would be a distinction because the hardware is also qcom's versus msft and the pc world. Besides that, these features would probably not be tied to the cdma capability itself. But even taking the cdma out of the equation, then what. Still an operating system with mucho capability.

I agree it is very volatile and very exciting. Have a good day.

Bruce
