People are worried anout SEA impact on DEC but ASIA only account for
20% of DEC sale vs 60% of DEC sale for international. That means
Europe account for 40% of DEC sale. Has any one notice how much
Europe market has increased in 1997? and their market health ?
I personnaly think SEA and Europe will cancel each other effect.

On differrent subject, FIRST CALL has DEC EPS at $0.43, while Zack number is $0.48. If I remember correctly DEC EPS was estimated in the range of $0.58 before the SEA problem. With that much EPS revision and SEA is not a major impact IMHO, I think DEC will make it number.

As indicated by DEC site, EPS number will be posted on the 15th before market open.

If DEC go over $40 and has mostly a white candle tomorrow, I think
DEC will again on the uptrend and will probably be over $47 by the
EPS anouncement date.

Mike re: <<considering shorting DEC and SUNW>>

Would you mind telling us at what price will you short DEC? At $52
it was a good short. Don't know at this point though. I could see shorting SUNW at these levels, but not DEC. Would you not want to short a stock when it is close to a major resistance?

Good Luck,

Hossein

DEC has preannounced poor earnings at least 3 times in the past 6 quarters -- Sep '96 through March '97, I think. The fact that we have heard nothing so far this quarter is a good sign!
